BURLINGTON — Mr. Ronald Preston Cable, 56, of 2016C Morningside Drive, Burlington, died at his residence on Friday, February 12, 2010.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Frank Preston Cable, who survives and the late Nelline Parrish Cable.
He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon and an avid Duke fan.
In addition to his father of Burlington, survivors include a sister, Nancy Sartin of Elon; a brother, Donnie Cable and wife Stephanie of Burlington; two sons, Lee Lawton and Brad Lawton, both of Virginia; a nephew, Alan Cable; a niece, Leslie Cable; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Faye Cable.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Terry Huffines.
