GIBSONVILLE — JoAnn Greeson Michael, age 69 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She resided in Guilford County and was the wife of 48 years to Voight E. Michael, Sr. who survives.
JoAnn was a homemaker and former employee with Edgecomb Metals in Greensboro and Bankers & Shippers Company in Burlington. She attended Trinity Worship Center and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Voight E. Michael, Sr. of the home; son, Voight Eugene Michael, Jr. and wife, Laurie and daughter, Pam Owen and husband, John; grandchildren, Taylor and Kyle Smith, Lauren Michael and Michael Owen; sisters, Carolyn Albright and husband, John and Glenda Whiteside and husband, Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents, Summie William Greeson and Frances Rich Greeson and a brother, Calvin Richard “Sonny” Greeson.
A Service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Cox and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday and other times at the home.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of JoAnn during her illness.
