Marilyn Sue Rudd Jones, 60, of Graham died at the Hospice Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 4:20 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Ed Jones and the daughter of Walter Rudd and Iona Burns Rudd, both deceased. She was a former textile worker and loved arts and crafts, crocheting and planting flowers.
Survivors include three children, Michael Hollars and wife Katie of Snow Camp, Matt Hollars and fiancé, Tracy Hunley of Graham and Shelena Randleman of Burlington; five grandchildren, Caleb Hollars, Savannah Hollars, Christian “Punky” Dickens, Kenna “Floss” Ward and Acesyn Southard; six sisters, Bonnie Gilliam, Brenda Sharpe, Melinda McPherson, Shelia Buckner, Ann Duff and Vickie Watlington; five brothers, Joe Kenyon, Edmond Kenyon, Tommy Rudd, Jerry Rudd and Randol Rudd; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Rudd.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Brandy Hargett and Rev. Steve Hargett with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
