Jimmie Lee Hollars Jr.
BURLINGTON — Jimmie Lee Hollars Jr., age 58, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Jimmie Lee Hollars Sr. and Hilda Marie Mitchell Hollars.
Jimmie was employed for 20 years with Boston Sandwich Shop and later for 12 years with Carolina Biological Supply. He was a member of West Burlington Church of God. Jimmie was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his daughters, Brandy Kay Allard and her husband, Charley, of Tennessee, Peggy Citty and her husband, Chris, of Burlington and Freddie Nicole Hollars of the home; sons, Michael Shane Hollars and his wife, Katie, of Snow Camp and William Matthew Hollars and his fiancée, Tracy Hunley both of Graham; five grandchildren, Caleb Hollars, Savannah Hollars, Karli Allard, David Allard and Caylynn Citty; sisters, Sandra Kay Kimrey of Swepsonville and Donna Gail Hollars of Florida; brothers, Jerry Lee Hollars of Burlington, Jeffrey Lawrence Hollars of Florida, Johnnie Lee Hollars of Haw River, Joel Leonard Hollars of Florida and Jay Lynn Hollars of Hopedale. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at LoweFuneral Home Chapel by the Rev. Olin Tatum and burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Following the burial the family is invited to West Burlington Church of God for a meal provided by the church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at home.
