Daisy Terrell Aldridge


BURLINGTON — Mrs. Daisy Terrell Aldridge , 94, of 1778 Rascoe Dameron Road, Burlington, died at Edgewood Place on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 1:45 a.m.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of 75 years to Curry P. Aldridge , who survives, and the daughter of James Lee Terrell and Martha Ann Underwood Terrell , both deceased. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Caswell Ward and very faithful in her church activities throughout her life.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Myra A. Page and husband, Lindsey, and Ms. Melva Dean Aldridge , all of Burlington; one son, Mr. Wilbur B. Aldridge and wife, Lois, of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Terrell and Boston Terrell ; and five sisters, Flora Massey, Laura Minor, Ethel Isley, Ida Oakley, and Minnie Simmons.
The funeral will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Caswell Ward on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 2 p.m. by Bishop Scott Oakley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence of Myra and Lindsey Page, 1709 Rascoe Dameron Road, Burlington, N.C.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cemetery Fund, c/o Bishop Scott Oakley, 1425 Baynes Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
