Curry P. Aldridge dies at 101


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Curry P. Aldridge, 101, of 1778 Rascoe Dameron Road, Burlington, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Village of Brookwood following two weeks of failing health.
    A native of Caswell County, he was husband of the late Daisy Terrell Aldridge and son of the late William Thomas Aldridge and Hulda Ann Page Aldridge. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Caswell Ward, and a Branch President for 19 years. He spent his entire life in service of others.
    Surviving are two daughters, Myra A. Page and husband Lindsey, and Melva Dean Aldridge all of Burlington; one son, Wilbur B. Aldridge and wife Lois of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren;
and one brother, Rufus Aldridge of Burlington.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers, Earlie J. Aldridge, Ira Aldridge, Dan Aldridge and Henry Aldridge; and four sisters, Mamie Stainback, Pearl Lineberry, Annie Terrell and Esther Maples.
    The service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-CaswellWard with BishopTrey Millner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 until 8Tuesday evening and at other times at the residence of Myra and Lindsey Page, 1709 Rascoe Dameron Road, Burlington.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caswell Memorial Association, c/o Dwayne Bryant, 60 Stainback Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
