Raleigh Walter Rudd 
    BURLINGTON — Raleigh Walter Rudd , 83, of 1944 Mc-Kinney St., died, Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at the Alamance Health Care of Burlington after three months of failing health.
    A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Elsie Wilma Aldridge Rudd  of Burlington, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on Sept. 8, 2005. He was a former hosiery employee and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
    Survivors other than his wife include daughters, Mrs. John Wesley (Gloria) Page Sr. of Burlington and Mrs. Alane Pope and husband, Steward, of Bristol, Tenn.; sister, Mrs. Nettie Mae Rudd  Newman of Mebane; brother, Raymond Rudd  of Burlington; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lynn Murr of Snow Camp, Paula Page Morton, John Darren Page and John Wesley Page Jr., all of Burlington, and Wesley Alan Page of Gibsonville; and seven greatgrandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter  Jones Rudd  and Edna Smith Rudd ; sisters, Mary Rudd  Bryant and Elizabeth Rudd  Riley; and a brother, Clyde Rudd .
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Wallis Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of Gloria Page, 319 Tryon St., Burlington.
