Mrs. Elsie Wilma Aldridge Rudd
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Elsie Wilma Aldridge Rudd , 80, formerly of 1944 McKinney St., died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Alamance Health Care of Burlington, after five years of failing health and one month critical illness.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Raleigh Walter Rudd , and the daughter of the late Lonnie B. Aldridge and Linnie Rudd Aldridge. She was a retired hosiery mill employee and a member of Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Gloria Jean Page of Burlington and Wilma Alane Pope of Bristol, Tenn.; a sister, Arteil Cobb and husband, Edward, of Burlington; a brother, L.B. Aldridge and wife, Louise, of Yanceyville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lynn Murr, Paula Page Morton, Wesley Alan Page, John Darren Page and John Wesley Page Jr.; and six greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church in Caswell County by Elder Donald Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, and at other times at the home of Gloria Page, 319 Tryon St., Burlington, N.C.
Memorials may be made to Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church, c/o D.O. Chandler, 900 Oakview Loop Road, Yanceyville, N.C. 27379.
