Ms. Wilma Alane Rudd Pope, 66, of Burlington passed away at her residence on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2:48 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Raleigh Rudd and Elsie Aldridge Rudd, both deceased.
In her earlier years, she was employed with A. O. Smith. Alane loved gardening and traveling. She was a lover of animals and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her life companion, George Wills of Burlington; son, Jeffery Lynn Murr of Snow Camp; granddaughter, Alyssa Murr Tidwell (Trey) of Louisville, KY; two greatgrandchildren, Tex Tidwell and Amelia Tidwell; sister, Gloria Jean Page; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. by Pastor Mike Mitchener with the family receiving friends following the service.
A private burial will be held at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Other times the family will be at the home of her sister, Gloria Jean Page.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County, P.O. Box 5117, Burlington, NC 27216.
