Obituary Online notes for “Myrtle” Marlene TERRELL
Mrs. Marlene ``Myrtle'' Terrell Peters, 65, of 1622 Morningside Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at her home after several years of failing health.

A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Raymond Peters and the daughter of Mr. Johnny I. Terrell and Mrs. Pearl Davis Terrell, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Janie Nell Rice of Greensboro; three sons, Mr. Timothy Lee ``Tim'' Rice of Burlington, Mr. Roger Dean Rice of Graham and Mr. Sidney Lynn Rice of Raleigh; four sisters, Mrs. Doris Parsons of Graham, Mrs. Jeanette Short of Kentucky, Mrs. Louise Simmons of Anderson and Mrs. Laura Edwards of Burlington; three brothers, Mr. Brodie Terrell of Anderson, Mr. Harold Terrell of Burlington and Mr. Clyde Terrell of Elon College; a stepdaughter, Ms. Paula Peters; three grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Hobbs, pastor. Burial will be in Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
