Mrs. Joyce Hughes Shaw 
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Joyce Hughes Shaw , 68, of 3946 Pond Road, died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
    A native of Granville County, N.C., she was the wife of Mr. Carl Shaw  Jr., who survives, and the daughter of Albert J. Hughes  and Marjorie Holmes Hughes , both deceased. She was a retired textile employee, and a member of Brick Reformed Church.
    Survivors other than her husband of the home include two daughters, Ms. Angela Jean McCauley and Ms. Bonnie Louis Shaw , both of Burington; one son, Mr. Robert Michael McCauley of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Majorie Rochelle Parker of Alabama; and one granddaughter, Mikel Kate McCauley of Burlington.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Clifford Shaw .
    A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Brick Reformed Church cemetery by Dr. Emmitt Floyd.
    The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and at other times at the residence.
