Flossie Arlina Kime Shaw
    BURLINGTON — Flossie Arlina Kime Shaw, 99, of Alamance Health Care Center, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at Alamance Health Care Center.
    A native of Randolph County, she was the wife of the late Carl Flake Shaw, and the daughter of the late William Calvin Kime and Mamie Etta Moser Kime. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Donna Frye of Burlington, Mrs. Lucy Whitesell and her husband, Vernon, of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Mary Lee Moore of Liberty, Mrs. Sara E. Young of Burlington, Mrs. Sandra Dodson of Graham, and Mrs. Martha Ann Grigsby and her husband, Jim, of Gibsonville; three sons, Mr. James W. Shaw and his wife, Peggy, of Liberty, Mr. Carl "June" Shaw Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Burlington, and Mr. Tommy Shaw and his wife, Brenda, of Cleveland, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Etta Staley of Siler City and Mrs. Bernice Ferrell and her husband, Rex, of Mebane; a brother, W.C. Kime Jr. and his wife, Bertie, of Julian; 19 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Calvin Lewis Shaw; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Breedlove; two brothers, Mr. Flavius Kime and Mr. Clyde Kime; and four grandchildren.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. S. Perry. Burial will be in Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery in Julian, N.C.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence of a daughter, Donna Frye, 2833 Hickory Hill Road, Burlington.
