BURLINGTON - Mrs. Pauline Tate “Polly” Stanfield, age 86, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her residence after several months of failing health.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Reid Dickens

Mrs. Pauline Tate “Polly” Stanfield, age 86, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her residence after several months of failing health.
     Born in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Emmit B. Tate and the late Alvana Madren Tate and was married for over 66 years to Ervin L. Stanfield, who survives.  She was retired after 22 years of service from Western-Electric and was a longtime member of Lakeview Community Church.  Polly was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, cooking and making crafts.  She was a loving wife and mother.
     Mrs. Stanfield is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Kelly Stanfield; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harvey Lee Tate
     A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Reid Dickens. 
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Authora Care Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
