Ervin Landers Stanfield
July 14, 1932 — April 26, 2024
Burlington, NC

Mr. Ervin Landers Stanfield, age 91, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at his residence after several months of failing health.

Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Jasper Cleveland and Ruthie Chandler Stanfield and was married for over 66 years to Pauline “Polly” Tate Stanfield, who passed in 2020.  Ervin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.

He retired from Lucent Technologies after many years of service and attended Peoples Memorial Christian Church and then Lakeview Community Church. Ervin enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and growing vegetables to share with the neighbors, but his main calling in life was to tend to his wife, Polly, especially in her later years.

Mr. Stanfield is survived by his daughter, Kelly Stanfield; sister-in-law, Hilda D. Stanfield; special nieces, Lynn S. Terrell (Rex) and Karen T. Gray (Will) along with other nieces and nephews; his “little buddy”, Kristi Staley; and special caregiver, Robin Brown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and twelve siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Reid Dickens.  The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
We encourage you to send condolences and sign the online register book at www.lowefuneralhome.com. 256, Ervin Landers Stanfield
