BURLINGTON — Suzanne McMinn Herndon, 68, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Hospice Home. She was born in Greene County, PA to the late Thomas and Betty McMinn and was married for 18 years to Donnie
L. Herndon who died on May 3, 2014. She left home at age 18 to work for the FBI in Washington DC as a fingerprint technician. Suzanne also worked for The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Washington DC. She retired from AT&T after 31 years of service. Mrs. Herndon was a member of Bethel Christian Church and the Women’s Circle at the church.
She is survived by her stepson, Chad (Christy) Herndon of Elon and granddaughters, Hailey Nicole Herndon and Carley Shea Herndon and brother-inlaw, Robert Wayne Herndon of Myrtle Beach.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel Christian Church by the Rev. Barry Lane with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of her stepson, Chad.
