Ora Hodges, age 83, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, in her home.
She was born November 11, 1926 in Pontiac, Mo., the daughter of Earl Everett Hicks and (Catherine Buhler) Katie.
She was preceded in death by a daughter;
Christine Laverne Bruton, a grandson; Nathan Robert Bruton Dec 2 1976-May 25 1994 and three sisters, Wilma Hicks Archuletta, Willie Hicks Licklider, Jesse Hicks,
She is survived by her son, Dwayne Hodges, of Sparta, Mo.; three daughters, Deloris Gramm and husband Ezra, of Springfield, Carol Landsdown and husband Herbert, of Springfield, and Patricia Hodges, of Ozark, Mo.; sister, Opal Hammond, of Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010, in the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, at 1 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2010. Interment will be in Mills Cemetery, Douglas County, Mo.
