Greensboro News & Record (NC) - August 23, 1992 BURLINGTON - J. Russell Whitt, 71, of 3467 Garden Road died Aug. 21, 1992, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Mark's Reformed Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Alamance County, he was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation and a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Rosa E. Whitt; sons, Tony Russell Whitt of Burlington, Rick Whitt of Pfafftown; daughter, Mrs. Roseann Hargrove of Snow Camp; five grandchildren. The family will be at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington 7-8 tonight.
