FUNERAL FOR MRS PAYNE YESTERDAY
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Bawer, near Haw River, for their daughter, Mrs. Nancy J. Paynes, aged 50 years, wife of W. E. Payne, who died at their home Tuesday morning.
Rev. W. H. Neese, of Glen Raven, M. P. Church, was in charge of the service, and the body was buried in Hawfields cemetery.
Pall bearers were: Messrs, J. G. Spoon, Jesse Pearson, John Barliam, W. W. Clark, Alphonso Mora, and Curtis Moore. Flowers were carried by Misses Deloris Baker, Christine Phillips, Parlee Roach, Nora Clayton, and Elsie Baker. 467
