Bette Ann Burgess Crouse
 
 BURLINGTON — Bette Ann Burgess Crouse of 418 Laurel Hill Drive, Burlington, departed from Alamance Health Care to be home with her Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. Born Nov. 13, 1933, in Mebane, she was the wife of the late Joseph Odell Crouse.
 
 Bette was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church for 70 years.
 
 She is survived by daughter Joanne Lee Ragle with husband Wayne of Burlington and daughter Angela Del Breashears of Graham and son Joseph Glenn Crouse of Mebane.
 
 Grandchildren are Melissa Flynn and husband Jason of Graham, Mitzi Flynn and husband David of Burlington, Tiffanny Breashears and fiancé Chris of Pleasant Grove, Joseph Crouse of Mebane, and Caroline Crouse of Oxford.
 
 Great-grandchildren include Jason Flynn, Kendra Flynn, Jenna Flynn, Kylie Flynn, Aubree Flynn, Bradley Flynn, Haleigh Flynn, and Jackson Michael.
 
 Along with tending to her family’s needs Bette wrote the book “Ancestors and Descendants of Joseph Odell Crouse.” She was a member of Alamance County Genealogical Society for 30 years, Chatham
 
County Historical Society, and Guilford County Genealogical Society.
 
 Preceding her were her parents William Russell Burgess and Ruby Lee Burgess, brothers Donald Russell Burgess and the Rev. James Edward Burgess, and a grandson, T.J. Breashears.
 
 A graveside service for family members will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at other times at the home of the daughter, Angie Breashears, 613 New St., Graham.
 
 A memorial and life celebration service will be conducted at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Graham on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 2 p.m.
