Sarah Truitt Garrison
BURLINGTON — Sarah Truitt Garrison, age 60, of Stoney Creek Church Road, went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at her home.
She was a native of Alamance County, and the wife of Tommy Richard Garrison, who survives.
Sarah was employed for 23 years with Alphabet Mebane and four years with Carauster. She was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of the home; daughter, Christina Paschal of Elon; grandson, Tyler Paschal; sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia Satterfield of Elon, Sue Ragan and her husband, Yogi, of Elon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Truitt and his wife, Doris, of Reidsville, Curtis Truitt of Burlington, Clyde Truitt of Burlington, Howard Truitt and his wife, Judy, of Burlington, Doug Truitt and his wife, Wanda, of Burlington and Tommy Truitt and his wife, Gloria, of Burlington; mother-in-law, Alene Garrison of Burlington; brother-in-law and sister-inlaw, Ronnie and Susan Garrison of Burlington; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Jack and Ollie Edmonds Truitt; sister, Betty Cox; father-in-law, Murray Garrison.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Reid Dickens and the Rev. Olin Tatum. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home.
