Mrs. Rebecca Ellen Terrell
MEBANE — Mrs. Rebecca Ellen Terrell, 83, formerly of North Charles Street in Mebane, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at 7:15 a.m. at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was a retired nurse from Memorial Hospital with 26 years of service, working in the nursery taking care of her babies.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane where she was a choir member for numerous years. She was known to be faithful to God, always making sure the needs of others were met before her own.
The family of Mrs. Terrell would like to extend a special thank you to the First Floor nurses at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their love and compassion during their mother’s illness.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia T. Stephens and husband Alan of Haw River and Myra T. Binkley and husband Phil of Graham; sons, Morris Terrell and wife Becky of Graham and Mitchell Terrell and wife Severina of Sumter, S.C.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. “Joe” Terrell; parents, Clyde Allred and Maggie Hurley Allred; one sister and three brothers.
The funeral will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Mebane by Dr. Terry Farmer and the Rev. Charles Fleshman. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. At other times the family will be at the residence of the daughter, Cynthia Stephens, 126 Circle Drive, Haw River.
