Patricia (Patsy) Hayes Busick
Mrs. Patricia (Patsy) Hayes Busick, 84, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Twin Lakes in Burlington following several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Busick was the wife of the late Beamon Rogers Busick and the daughter of the late Amos Stephen and Alma Shatterly Hayes.
She was a graduate of Burlington Business College and worked in the credit department of Sears for many years before retiring. Over the years Mrs. Busick enjoyed sewing, gardening, music, singing, dancing, going on long walks with her canine buddies and playing with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Known simply as “Granny” to many, Mrs. Busick was a breath of fresh air who laughed easily, loved quietly and taught us the importance of acting silly at times.
Mrs. Busick is remembered with love by her son Roger (Stacey) Busick, and her daughter Cindy Maner of Burlington; granddaughters, Diana (Tony) Lester, Crystal (Trace) Kessler of Burlington and Morgan Maner of London, UK; grandson Dean (Christina) Busick of Burlington and eight greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Busick was preceded in death by her brothers Amos Stephen Hayes and Joe Allen Hayes.

The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 13, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 14 in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethel Christian Church Cemetery.
