Mr. William Lee (Bill) Finley, 80, Cedar Grove, died suddenly Monday, June 17, 2002, at home. Mr. Finley was born in Orange County to Nettie Barker Finley and Arthur Lee Finley.
He retired from Western Electric where he was a manufacturing engineering associate and later was employed at Walker's Funeral Homes for a number of years. Mr. Finley was a life member of Eno Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee. He was a past master of Eagle Lodge #19 A.F.&A.M. and was a past patron of Hillsborough Chapter 180, O.E.S. and a former D.D.G.P. of the 10th District of the Grand Chapter of N.C., O.E.S. Mr. Finley was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of Schley American Legion Post 452 and a member of the 40 and 8 Voiture Locale 1266. He was a life long farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy Barber Finley; five sons, Stephen P. Finley (Suzanne), Cedar Grove, William J. Finley, St. Petersburg, FL., David W. Finley, Cedar Grove, John R. Finley, (Doris), Augusta, GA, and Mark T. Finley, Hendersonville; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
