Joseph Raleigh Simpson, Sr. passed away Saturday March 13th at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 25th at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.  You are invited to attend using social distancing guidelines and wearing a mask or you may watch the livestream and sign the guest register at www.lowefuneralhome.com.
Mr. Simpson will be available for public viewing 1:00 - 5:00 PM Wednesday March 24th and 9:00 - 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the funeral.

GRAHAM- Joseph Raleigh Simpson, Sr., age 78, of Graham, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several weeks of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late James Howard Simpson and the late Vera Terrell Simpson and was formerly married to the late Delphine Matherly Simpson, who passed in 1991. Raleigh then remarried in 1993 to Mrs. Patricia T. Simpson, who survives. He retired from MAP Enterprises after 39 years of service and was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. Raleigh was a faithful husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and will be missed by all.
Raleigh is survived by his wife of the home; his four children, Marion Simpson and wife, Wanda of Asheboro, Denise Walker and husband, Steve and J.R. Simpson and wife, Margaret of Burlington and Kenneth Simpson and wife, Nicki of Gibsonville; step son, Dwight Taylor and wife, Sue of Haymarket, VA; eleven grandchildren, Brad Simpson, Brent (Mychelle) Simpson, Steven (Bethany) Walker, John David Walker, Addie Walker, Stephanie (Justin) Lee, Matti Simpson, Haley Simpson, J.D. Simpson, Lane Taylor and Paige Taylor; three great grandchildren, Mary Carole Walker, Finley Simpson and Emeline Simpson; five siblings, Dorothy (Don) Ray of Graham, Faye (Jackie) Webster, J.H. (Donna) Simpson, Tommy Simpson and Belinda Hayes all of Asheboro; and his faithful canine companion, “Lucy”. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hobbs and Rev. Mark Wilburn. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Simpson will be available for public viewing from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Wednesday afternoon and from 9:00 – 10:45 Thursday morning at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to victoryjunction.org.
