ALTAMAHAW — Vernon Eugene Taylor, 89, of 3045 Cherokee Drive, died Friday, September 26, 2003, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Guilford County to the late William and Mary Anna Lewis Taylor and was married to the late Rosa Martin Taylor.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie Strange and her husband, John, of Elon and Doris Wagner of Altamahaw; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Taylor of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son, William "Bill" Taylor and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held at Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
