GRAHAM — Mr. Francis Neil “Frank” Angel was born August 27, 1940 in Nashville, Tenn., and died Feb. 21, 2011, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
Frank grew up in Charleston, W. Va., the son of the late Elkin Anderson Angel and Thelma Sawyer Angel, who resides in Herndon, Va. with her daughter. In addition to his wife of 45 years, Linda Pentecost Angel, he is survived by his sister, Ruth Ann Angel Lutz and her sons, Christopher Andrew Lutz of Ashburn, Va., and Michael Brian Lutz of Leesburg, Va. He is survived by in-laws, Peggy Pentecost Dixon and husband William Franklin Dixon and Marion Ray Pentecost and a niece, Linda Louise Dixon. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Roger Craig Pentecost.
Frank served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for Your House Restaurant which brought him to Burlington. He also worked for Radio Shack and around 30 years at Carolina Camera in Greensboro before retiring in 2000. He was a great photographer and enjoyed processing and printing photographs.
Frank’s membership in the American Model Yachting Association brought him much happiness, many friends and interesting travels to many regattas. He was one of the founding members and former president of the Piedmont Model Yacht Club.
Frank was very touched by all the love, prayers, cards and good wishes from friends. They were of great support to him and his wife Linda.

We thank Life Path and Hospice staff for the loving care given to him.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Parsons officiating. The family will greet friends after the service.
