Jack Patterson Clapp Sr.
   JULIAN — Mr. Jack Patterson Clapp Sr., 63, of 6219 Nat Road, Julian, died at Moses Cone Hospital on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 12:15 a.m.

   A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Linda Fogleman Clapp, who survives, and the son ofVance Lee Clapp and Willie Frances Gerringer Clapp, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and part owner of V. L. Clapp & Sons Septic Systems. Mr. Clapp was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church.

   Inadditiontohiswife,Linda, of the home, survivors include two sons, Jackie Clapp Jr. and Ron Clapp and wife Teresa, all of Julian; three grandchildren, Dustin Clapp of Burlington and Brittany Clapp and Mitchell Clapp, both of Julian; one stepgrandson, Sean Price of Julian; five brothers, Wayne Gerringer and wife Ann, Don Clapp, Butch Clapp, Billy Clapp and wife Norma and Johnny Clapp and wife Sylvia; five sisters, Linda Miller and husband Lance, Carolyn Wimbish and husband Glenn, Vangie Clapp, Bobbie Euliss and husband Roger, and Fran Cook and husband Doug; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

   A graveside service will be conducted at Low’s Lutheran Church Cemetery on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. David N. Mielke and Pastor Ricky Cox.

   Following the service, the family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall. At other times they will be at the residence of Ron Clapp, 6219 Nat Road, Julian, N.C.

   Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, N.C. 27405 or Low’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 2136 Hwy. 61 South, Liberty, N.C. 27298.
