Harold Dean Simpson

BURLINGTON - Harold Dean Simpson, 84, of Burlington went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2017.

He was born in Alamance County on March 23, 1933 to the late Henry Floyd and Kathleen Huffines Simpson and was the husband of 61 years to the late Lora Bernice Simpson.

Mr. Simpson retired from Kayser-Roth after over 40 years of service and worked at McMichael Mills, Inc. until his death.

He was a member of Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church in Burlington, NC.
He is survived by daughters, Cindy Rudd, Sherri Hall and husband, Mark; sons, Robert Simpson, Mark Simpson and wife, Clarissa, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Crystal Pope of Burlington and Heather Dunn and husband, Brett of Cary; and great-grandson, Cody Pope of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters, Mona Namby, Joyce Poteat, Margaret Reavis and Ruth Dunn; great-grandchild, Tyler Whitaker; and son-in-law, Harold Rudd.

A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Simpson’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel in Burlington, NC.

The family will receive guests immediately following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Adopt-A-Pet Center at Burlington Animal Services, 221 Stone Quarry Road, Burlington, NC or Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church, 3519 Maple Avenue, Burlington NC.
