BURLINGTON — Mr. Bill M. Crumpton, 70, of 4307 Friendship-Rock Creek Road, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at his residence. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Jean Isley Crumpton, who survives, and the son of the late William Otis Crumpton and Zelma McIntyre Crumpton. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a retired volunteer for the E.M. Holt Fire Department. He was an affiliate member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Lynn Crumpton McPherson and her husband, Terry, of Graham; a son, Connie Crumpton of Elon; two granddaughters, Carla McPherson Fuller and husband, Bryant, of Boston and Casey McPherson of Graham; and three sisters-in-law, Helen Shaw and her husband, John, Anne Pope, and Janet Lassiter and her husband, David, all of Burlington. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alvin Horne. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.3, Mr. Bill M. Crumpton
