Jean Carol Isley Crumpton

Mrs. Jean Carol Isley Crumpton, 84, of Burlington, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Crumpton was the wife of the late Billy Mack Crumpton and the daughter of the late Eugene Martin Isley and the late Mary Ruth Shoffner Isley.

Mrs. Crumpton was a well known and beloved community member. She was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church. As a 25 year associate of Walmart, she was known for her contagious smile and home baked goods. Mrs. Crumpton was a talented artist with a passion for design, painting, doll making and jewelry. She loved deeply, lived passionately and gave generously.
Mrs. Crumpton is survived by her daughter, Lynn Crumpton McPherson and husband Terry of Graham; granddaughters, Carla McPherson Fuller and husband Bryant of Charlotte and her children, Mattie and Miles Fuller, granddaughter, Casey McPherson Allred and husband Andy of Graham and her daughter, Ella Allred; siblings, Helen Shaw and husband John of Burlington, Anne Pope of Burlington, Janet Lassiter and husband David of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Crumpton was preceded in death by her son, Connie Martin Crumpton.
The family will receive friends at Friendship United Methodist Church, Saturday, December 9, from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm. Other times they will be at the residence.
The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Officiating will be the Rev. Thurman Horney and the Rev. Alvin Horne. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 4612 Friendship Patterson Mill Road, Burlington, NC, 27215.
