Paul Fide Greeson
BURLINGTON — Mr. Paul Fide Greeson , 90, of 7165 Shoe Road, Burlington, died suddenly at his residence on Thursday, January 26, 2006.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Dora Doris Whitesell Greeson , who survives, and the son of Lacy Roy Greeson and Donnie Isley Greeson , both deceased.
He was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ.
In addition to the wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Sylvia G. Gilliam and husband, Lloyd, of Cary and Shirley Ann G. Clapp and husband, Floyd, of Burlington; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Wilson and Edith Rumley, both of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Greeson and Jake Greeson .
The funeral will be conducted at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Walter Patten, and the Rev. John Settlemyre.
Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Church cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times they will be at the residence.
