Bernice Christman Tickle
Mrs. Bernice Christman Tickle, 94, of Burlington and formerly of Woodale Drive, Elon, passed away at the Hospice Home on Monday, August 26, 2019.
A native of Draper, NC, she was the wife of the late Garland “Jake” Tickle and the daughter of William Arthur Christman and Minnie Winn Christman, both deceased. She retired from Woolworths and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Richard “Rick” Tickle of Elon and Jimmy Tickle of Burlington; daughter, Karen Allen and husband Gary of Burlington; grandson, Brad Allen and wife Ashley of Snow Camp; granddaughter, Beth McCune and husband J.C. of Hilton Head, SC; four greatgranddaughters, Trinity Faith Allen, Makaylee Grace Allen, Chloe Elizabeth McCune and Neallie Ann McCune; and a greatgrandson, Jaden Christopher Allen. Mrs. Tickle was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Alamance Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m.
