William Raymond "Billy" Walker
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. William Raymond "Billy" Walker, 60, of 7183 Powerline Road, Gibsonville died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. following six months of declining health.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of 35 years to Elizabeth Diane Smith Walker, who survives and the son of William Ed Walker and Eva Miles Walker, both deceased. He was a former employee of Culp Weaving in Graham and a member of Towe Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two sons, Mickey Walker and Mitch Walker, both of the home; mother and father-inlaw, Mary Frances and Hubert Lewis Smith of Gibsonville; a sister-in-law, Debbie Woody and husband, Wendell of Snow Camp; and a brother-inlaw, Richard Smith and wife, Tressa of Mebane.
A memorial service will be conducted at Towe Memorial Baptist Church in Whitsett on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 5 p.m. by the Rev. Jim Farmer and the Rev. Jim Mansfield.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service. At other times, they will be at the residence.
