Funeral services for Lester R. Arthur will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Spartanburg Christian church with Rev. Zelma Mills, assisted by Rev. Robert Walther, officiating. Burial will be in Spartanburg cemetery.
Friends of Mr. Arthur, who died Thursday at his home near Spartanburg, may call at the Thomas funeral home in Lynn after 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday afternoon and evening, until noon on Sunday, and at the church one hour before the services. [46094]

Mrs. Lenna Arthur, 94, Spartanburg, died Friday evening at the heritage Nursing Home, Richmond, where she had been a resident for five years.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. She was a member of the Peaceful Valley Ladies Aide.
Mrs. Arthur is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Ruth Moore, Lynn and Mrs. Doris Lake, Boston, Mass.; 10 sons; Ralph, Farmland; Paul, Edgewater Beach, Florida; Glen, Spartanburg; Guy, California; Bearl, Chicago; Lloyd, Winchester; Donald, Syracuse; Noel ("Doc"), Lynn; Basil, Winchester; Stanley, Spartanburg; one sister, Pearl Alexander, Union City, Indiana; 23 grandchildren; several and great and great-great-grandchildren.
