BURLINGTON — Ronnie Lester Burton, age 57, of 1008 Fix St., passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at his residence.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Sherry Holliday Burton and son of the late Lester B. Burton and Margie McKinney Burton, who survives.
Ronnie was a retired boilermaker with the Boilermakers Union, Local 30, and attended Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Holliday Burton, of the home; daughter; Brooke Burton, of Burlington; son, Kerry Burton and wife Sarah, of Snow Camp; mother, Margie McKinney Burton, of Burlington; sister, Barbara Sessoms and husband Terry, of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Sierra Jacobs, Dazya Cheek, Makayla Burton and Hailey Burton.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in the Lowe Funeral Home chapel by Dr. Tommy Willis. Interment will follow in Baynes Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Burton will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and at other times, the home of his mother. (2704 Delaney Drive, Burlington)
