Berniece Bell Moyer, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, April 17, 2009 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Moyer was born 23 Jan 1927 at Braggadocio, Missouri. She was a member of the Lone Hill Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Moyer enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, and reading.

On 23 Nov. 1940, she married Warden Wilson Moyer in Campbell. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2005. Survivors include her children Jane McGhee and husband Mick of Defiance, Evelyn Casinger and husband Charles, and Carolyn Henry, all of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Michel and husband Pete of Fairdealing, David Moyer and wife Debbie of Poplar Bluff, Sharon Hoss and husband Wayne of Eolia, Linda Wilson and husband Calvin of Dexter, and Gwen Horner and husband Mike of Poplar Bluff, 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Charles Parker and Anna Harp Johnson, one son Albert Wilson Moyer, son-in-law Jim Henry; sisters Fannie White, Elsie Wethington, Edith Moore, and brothers Enoch Johnson, Harold Johnson, Harry Johnson, Andrew Johnson, and Dewayne Johnson preceded Mrs. Moyer in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Cotrell Chapel with Dr. Dick Murray officiating. Burial will be at Cochran Cemetery in Butler County.

The family has requested that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
