Lois Mildred Aldridge, 92, of Caswell County, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
Born October 1, 1931, in Caswell County, NC, she was the eighth child to parents Eugene Stokes Butler and Florence Iona Saunders Butler. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Wilbur Banford Aldridge for 71 years. She was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Caswell Ward. She was an office administrator for many years. In her free time, she loved baking, trips to Myrtle Beach and camping with her granddaughter, Christy.
She is survived by daughters, Candyce Hinson (Bryant) and Shari Miles (Craige); and a son, Val Aldridge (Michon); nine grandchildren, Christy Smith (Gene), Chad Lewis (Jennifer), Brian Miles, Mindee Barton (Geoff), Jessica Aldridge, Emilee Taylor (Kirt), Blake Aldridge, Julie King (Tim), and Keith Nicks (Kerri); twelve great-grandchildren, Allison McCauley, Natallie McCauley (Chris), Laura Rachel Lewis, Addison Lewis, Kayleigh Dang (Steve), Levi Payne, Klhoee Barton, Brady Barton, Savannah Taylor, Katie Brown (Brooks), Dalton Albertson (Emily) and Chase Nicks; seven great-great-grandchildren, Emilia Dang, Greysen Dang, Erion Dang, Banks Brown, Baylor Brown, Mack Albertson, and Graham Albertson; three sisters, Naomi Parker, Doris Byrd, Shirley Compton; and a brother, Melvin Butler (Mary).
She was preceded in death by parents, Eugene Stokes Butler and Florence Iona Saunders Butler; husband, Wilbur Banford Aldridge; sisters, Alene Paschal, Elma Somers, Ruby Swift, Frances Page, Brenda Serns; and brothers, Marion Butler, Eugene Stokes Butler Jr., and Connie Mack Butler.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Caswell Ward.
There will be a graveside service held at immediately following the visitation at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Caswell Ward Cemetery. 261, Lois Mildred Aldridge
