Mrs. Evelena Faucette Hoffman, 70, of Rt. 1, Burlington, of the St. Mark's Church community, died this morning at 3 o'clock at a local hospital following several weeks of illness. A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Hoffman was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Cora Graham Faucette. She was the wife of Arthur G. Hoffman, who survives, and was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ for more than 40 years. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Mrs. M. T. Daniel of Winston-Salem and Mrs. Herman E. Denny, of Rt. 1, Burlington, two sons, Howard W. Hoffman of Rt. 1, Burlington and the Rev. Thomas E. Hoffman of Allentown, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. C. [sic] A. Fowler of Rt. 6, Burlington; one half-brother, Owen Faucette of Charlotte; and 11 grandchildren. 470, Katie Evelina Faucette Hoffman
