BURLINGTON – Mrs. Deborah Gay Moore Murray, 63, of Burlington passed away suddenly after several months of illness at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 9:18 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Craig Murray and the daughter of George Howard Moore and Lois Frazier Moore, both deceased.
She was employed for several years with GKN and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Jennifer M. Stanfield and husband Tim of Graham; step-grandsons, T. J. Stanfield and Nickolas Lee Stanfield, both of Graham; half sister, Clara Moore Self; motherin-law, Catherine Moffitt Murray of Burlington; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, The Rev. Susan Moore.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A private burial will follow in Camp Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
