Jerry B. Kenyon Sr.

MEBANE - Jerry B. Kenyon, 79, of Mebane, peacefully departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October, 21, 2020. He was at home surrounded by family and friends. Jerry had a gift to gab and never met a stranger. He loved his grand dog Gello. Jerry spent his life in Mebane, graduating in 1960. He enlisted in the US Army, serving his country as a medic in Germany during the Cold War. Returning from Europe, Jerry married his late wife Janice, his life partner of 34 years and raised their family in Mebane. Jerry briefly went to work with Western Electric, then joined his family's logging business. He later started his own business, Kenyon Enterprises. Many will recall the Kenyon Blue trucks and equipment traveling through Mebane.
Jerry is survived by his fiancée, Toki Johnson, his son Jerry Kenyon Jr; his daughters, Tamara Yeattes and Sherry Neese (Tim); his sister Kay Johnson (Bob Raynor) and his brother Tom Kenyon (Jean).

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 24, 2020 from 3-5 at McClure Funeral Service 1308 S. Third St. Ext. in Mebane. There will be a graveside service held on Sunday October 25, 2020 at 2pm with Military Honors at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery 6101 Lebanon Rd. Mebane, NC 27302. The family would like to thank all of Jerry's friends who reached out to him on his dark days.
