Tracy Barbee Lafferty


    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Tracy Putnam Barbee Lafferty, age 75, of 2104 S. Mebane St, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Myrtle Loy Putnam and wife of Harold Eugene Lafferty who survives. She was a member of Johnson Baptist Church in Browns Summit and retired as the cashier at K&W Cafeteria.
    Survivors include her husband, Harold Eugene Lafferty, of the home; sons, Roger Barbee, Tracy Barbee and wife Pam, Gregory Barbee and Chris Barbee and wife Angela, all of Burlington, and Randy Barbee and wife Bonnie of Holly Springs; daughter, Kimberly Stevens of Elon; stepson, Ronnie Eugene Lafferty of Tallahassee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Allen of Carthage; brother, Elmer Lee Putnam of Burlington.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bobby Gene Barbee; brothers, Ed, Steve and Weldon Putnam; and a sister, Doris Turner.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randy Hobbs. Interment will follow in Shallow Ford Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and at other times at the home of Tracy and Pam Barbee, 1554 W. Davis St., Burlington.
