ELON — Nancy Irene Hall Shepherd , 71, of 7188 Sockwell Road, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Shepherd was born on December 22, 1934, in Guilford County, to the late Robert Hall and Nita Underwood Summers, and was married to the late Donald Herbert Shepherd.
She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, and the Altamahaw-Ossipee Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna White and her husband, Swanson, of Elon; a son, Daniel Shepherd and his fiancée, Amy Kish, of Elon; three grandchildren, Ashley and Leann White of Elon and Christopher Birmingham of Illinois; three sisters, Betty Lou Williams, Pat Hill, and Pam Atkinson, all of Burlington.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Bethlehem Christian Church by Dave Gilbert. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening Friday, November 10, 2006, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times the family will be at the home of the daughter, Donna White, 7188-A Sockwell Road, Elon.
Memorials can be made to the Altamahaw-Ossipee Fire Department, 2806 Old 87, Elon, N.C. 27244.
