Gary Lynn Fogleman
June 19, 1957 ~ February 25, 2025 (age 67)

Gary Lynn Fogleman, 67, of Whitsett, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2025. Gary peacefully departed this life at his home after a courageous health battle.

Gary, a native of Guilford County, leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He was the devoted husband of 46 years to Vicky Fogleman, and the cherished son of the late Clinton Dennis Fogleman, Jr. and the late Helen Allred Fogleman.

Gary's career was marked by his hard work and skill as a truck driver and diesel mechanic, from which he retired with pride. His commitment to his community was evident through his active membership at Urgent Church in McLeansville, NC, and his service on the Board of Directors of the Whitsett Fire Department, where he also volunteered as a firefighter.

Gary cherished being called "Paw-Paw" by everyone who knew him, especially the children, who adored him just as much as he adored them. He was a talented cook, always eager to try new recipes for his family. Gary found joy in spending time at the farm with his horses and riding his tractor. He had a passion for restoring and working on cars and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His dedication to his faith was evident in his regular attendance at Sunday services, where he loved participating in Urgent Worship and listening to Pastor Mike Ainsworth deliver the Word.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gary is survived by his son, Jason Fogleman, and his wife, Jennifer; grandsons, Joseph and James Fogleman; brothers, Dennis Fogleman and his wife, Nan, and Steve Fogleman and his wife, Claudia; sister, Sylvia Stockwell and her husband, George; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He also leaves behind his special extended family: brother Randy and his wife, Mary Garrett; sons William Maness and Chad Maness; daughters Morgan Maness and Joy Washington; and granddaughters Cheyenne Maness, Raylan Maness, Madisson Washington, and Illyana Washington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Clapp and brother, Michael Fogleman.

His memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Urgent Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the funeral service. Please feel free to wear jeans and boots to the service as Gary would have wanted.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Urgent Church to support the Hope Center Addiction Recovery project.
