ELON — Linda Denise Barber Summers, 56, of 7166 Tickle Road, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Alamance County, daughter of the late J.D. and Margaret Myers Barber and was married to David Summers who survives.
Denise was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church. She loved her dogs, fishing and racing. Her favorite drivers at ACE Speedway were her son, Keith, Phil Bryant and T.C. Friday.
She is survived by her husband of the home David Summers; sons, Keith Summers and his fiancee Diana of Elon, Kevin Summers of Elon; sisters, Pam Summers and her husband Wayne of Elon, Vicky Jones and her husband Barry of Elon and a granddaughter, Kayla Denise Friday.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Rev. Walter Jones with burial to follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
