Arlene Tickle Ingle


BURLINGTON - Arlene Tickle Ingle, 89, of Burlington passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the home of her niece, Wanda Way, in Haw River.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Julius Brower “Cotton” Ingle and the daughter of Nathan Ennie Tickle and Erma Bennett Tickle, both deceased. She was formerly employed with the USDA, ASCS Department. Mrs. Ingle was a member of Springwood Presbyterian Church and the Democratic Women’s Organization.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Ingle Farmer and husband Kim; granddaughter, Eva Noel Farmer; grandson, Derek Brooks; niece, Wanda Way and husband Frank of Haw River; daughter-in-law, Billie Moseley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, D. C. Brooks and four siblings, Inez Tickle Diamont, Robert Tickle, Herman Tickle and Curtis Tickle.
The funeral service will be conducted at Springwood Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Marybeth Asher-Lawson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family request that you follow social distancing protocol and follow the state mandate for wearing . masks.
Mrs. Ingle may be viewed by family and friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
