BURLINGTON — Wade Clinton Cozart, 64, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County to the late Clarence Columbus “Clint” Cozart and the late Irma Wrenn Cozart. Wade was the husband of Norma Loftis Cozart for 31 years, who survives. He was employed with Lab-Corp in the I.S. Receiving Department for 13 years, a member of CrossWay Church, an avid car enthusiast, U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was in the 101st Airborne. Wade always had a sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Wade “Tim” and Jamie Cozart, and Clinton Caleb “Clint” Cozart, all of Elon; daughter, Jennifer Ann Cozart of Charlotte; granddaughters, Presley and Avery Cozart; sisters, Grey Stout of Graham, Betty Hughes and Edie Stuart, both of Burlington; brothers and sistersin-law, Doug and Rhonda Cozart of Burlington, Tony and Rhonda Cozart of Eden.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at CrossWay Church by the Rev. Garry Yeatts with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM this evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
