"Mary Lou Sturdivant Mize, 69, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Liberty Commons.
Mrs. Mize was born January 16, 1941 in Alamance County to the late Harland Sturdivant and Pauline M. Sturdivant who survives. She was married to the late Eric Lee Mize who preceded her in 2003.
Survivors include her mother; two daughters, Tammy Apple and her husband, Richard of Elon, and Michelle Smith of Madison, NC; a son, Creg Garrison and his wife, Sharon of Burlington; three grandchildren, Richard Apple, Christine Apple, and Britana Smith; a sister, Donna Sweat and her husband, Ron; and a brother, Doug Sturdivant.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times the family will be at their homes."
