Mrs. Sallie Barts Anderson
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Sallie Barts Anderson, 86, of 821 Celina St., died at 3:18 a.m. Monday Nov. 12, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of Felix Anderson, who died in 1968, and the daughter of the late Bud and Mattie Merritt Barts. She was a retired employee from Copland Fabrics and was a member of Hopedale Christian Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Rachel Pegg and Mrs. Brenda Kay Todd, both of Haw River, Mrs. Joyce Viers of Burlington, and Mrs. Phyllis Reynolds of Reidsville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Somers and Miss Charlotte Anderson; four brothers and four sisters. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hopedale Christian Church by the Rev. Bob Cauthren, pastor, and the Rev. Bennie Smith, pastor of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in McCray Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.3, Mrs. Sallie Barts Anderson
