Irene Barnes Crouse
BURLINGTON — Irene Barnes Crouse, 79, of 315 Chestnut St., died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Hospice Home.
She was a native of Warren County and the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Hadie Loy Barnes.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Ray Crouse. Irene was a member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church and the Ladies Bible Class. She was a homemaker and devoted to her family and church. Survivors include her husband of the home, sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby Ray and Sylvia Crouse and Larry Alton Barnes all of Burlington; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister, Margaret Tingen of Burlington; brothers, George Barnes of Statesville and Sam Barnes of Chesapeake, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Carol Crouse and a brother, Arthur Lee Barnes, Jr.
The funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home and other times at the home.
