Lester M. Crouse
Final Rites for Lester M. Crouse. 77. of Route 4, who died Sunday, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Shallowford Congregational Christian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Rev. Richard M. Peterson, pastor, and Rev. George W. Swinney, pastor of Glen Hope Baptist Church, officiated. Music was provided by a duet composed of Lonnie Rhodes and George Crouse, Millard Belangia, soloist, and Iris Pennington and Ida Jane Tickell, pianists.
Pallbearers were Tom Green, James Bailey, Jessie Smith, Ike Lucas, Lum Huey and Lewis Huey. Honorary pallbearers were the Men's Bible Class from the church.
Mrs. Myrtle Hawkins and Mrs. Nellie Heuy wee in charge of the flowers, assisted by Mrs. Olivia Crutchfield, Mrs. R. R. Wright, Eva Clemmer, Mrs. V. C. Huey, Mrs. Robert Parker, Mrs. Charles Goodwin, Mrs. A. G. Horner, Mrs. Bill Crenshaw, Mrs. Erwin Walker, Mrs. Tene Witkowski, Mrs. W. C. Wansley, Mrs. T. D. Green, Mrs. S. D. Simpson, Mrs. Mamie Kernodle, Mrs. Ernest Beckom, Gladys Whitaker, Mrs. C. J. Truitt, Mrs. W. L. Wyrick, Mrs. Ruby Rudd, Miss Nannie Jones, Mrs. Lois Gerringer and Mrs. Willie Lowe.
